US volunteered to supply gas to Europe for $380 on one condition

The United States is ready to start deliveries of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at a price of $12 per Mmbtu (about $300 per thousand cubic meters), but subject to long-term contracts. Toby Rice, General Director of the largest US gas company EQT, called such an amount with the delivery of fuel “to the doorstep of Europe”.
He noted that this could be a great deal compared to the current price of $20 for Mmbtu. According to the head of the company, the United States is potentially ready to supply Europe with 500 billion cubic meters of gas instead of the current one hundred billion.
At the same time, according to Rice, to reach such capacities, investments will be needed, including in the construction of LNG terminals, plants, pipelines and drilling.
Earlier it became known that the EU at the end of 2022 became the largest consumer of LNG in the world. According to this indicator, the European Union is ahead of the largest consumers in Asia: Japan, China and South Korea.
