By the end of 2022, the share of compensation from insurance companies as part of OSAGO repairs fell to 0 percent, while at the beginning of the year it was 9-11 percent. They write about it”News“with reference to the data of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA).
They told the publication that the reason for the decrease in the share of compensation to zero was the shortage of auto parts, as well as the increase in the delivery time of parts against the backdrop of anti-Russian sanctions. The same trend was confirmed by the Central Bank and insurance companies.
The PCA believes that only the establishment of parallel imports and changes in the current legislation can change the situation.
The union noted that the maximum period for reimbursement for OSAGO should be doubled – up to 60 days. The organization is also calling for the use of used spare parts that do not affect safety when repairing.
However, this practice is opposed by the Central Bank. They believe that the use of used spare parts will adversely affect road safety.
