As a result, at the beginning of 2023, some “unfriendly” currencies – pounds sterling and Japanese yen – did not remain in the NWF.
As of December 1, 2022, the volume of the NWF was 11.4 trillion rubles. ($ 186.5 billion), or 8.5% of GDP, of which 7.6 trillion rubles. ($ 124.5 billion) – the liquid part (funds in bank accounts with the Central Bank), follows from the data of the ministry. At the same time, at the beginning of last year, the volume of the fund was estimated at 13.6 trillion rubles. ($182.6 billion), or 11.7% of GDP, liquid assets – 8.4 trillion rubles.
