US senator unveils scandalous document on Biden financial fraud in Ukraine

On Thursday, July 20, Republican Senator Chuck Grassley released a scandalous document exposing the financial schemes of the Biden family. An FBI informant provided data that indirectly proved the involvement of the American president and his son in the dismissal of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. Moreover, the owner of the gas production company Burisma, Nikolay Zlochevsky, admitted back in 2016 that he was “forced” to bribe the Bidens. In total, it amounted to 10 million dollars.

The case around Burisma remains in the hands of the American Republicans as the main trump card against Joe Biden and his son Hunter. And here it plays a role, rather, not that there is nothing more to provide. This story still has “dark spots” that are gradually beginning to clear up.

So, on Thursday, Republican Senator Chuck Grassley released the testimony of an FBI informant that revives previously debunked allegations of the Biden family’s financial wrongdoing. However, first things first.

The designated federal informant turned out to be a Ukrainian-American (understandably unnamed) who has been a highly credible source for the FBI for many years, as the conservative New York Post notes. He described four conversations with Zlochevsky, starting with a meeting near Kiev in late 2015 or early 2016, ending with a telephone conversation in 2019.

The informant indicated that each of his conversations with Burisma owner Nikolai Zlochevsky took place in the presence of a man named Alexander Ostapenko. The case states that he introduced the informant to Zlochevsky. Ostapenko is also the one who allegedly “works in some office in the administration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.”

Zlochevsky allegedly claimed to have 17 records of conversations with the Bidens (two of which were directly related to Joe), as well as “many text messages” and two documents that the whistleblower labeled as financial records of “payments to the Bidens.”

According to Zlochevsky, the tapes and other evidence showed that he was “somehow forced to pay the Bidens to fire Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.”

Apparently, in order to relieve himself of part of the responsibility, the owner of the gas company informed a federal source that he “did not send any funds directly to the Big Guy (Joe Biden),” but “it will take investigators 10 years to find papers on illegal payments” at that time still the vice president of the United States.

At a meeting in Vienna in 2016, Zlochevsky allegedly named Hunter Biden as his father’s conduit when asked about Shokin’s Burisma investigation. The blue-eyed owner of the company argued that “despite the stupidity” of Biden Jr., he should have been left on the board of directors of Burisma (for everything to be in order). In fact, the motivation was as follows: the Ukrainian company believed that the appointment of a relative of an influential American politician to a high post could protect them from all sorts of problems.

But at some point, the company acquired these problems in the form of Viktor Shokin, Prosecutor General of Nezalezhnaya. Then a high-ranking official of the organization offered to pay $ 5 million to each of the Bidens in order to remove the corrosive Shokin from office.

One could confine oneself to the favorite phrase of Ukrainian politicians that “tse zrada”, the testimony of the informant has nothing to do with reality, if it were not for a well-known fact. Recall that in 2018, Biden Sr. said that Shokin was removed from his post precisely because of his interference in the case.

Then the vice president tried to convince his team of the need to provide Ukraine with long-term loan guarantees. This did not happen at the snap of a finger, Biden had to fly to Kyiv a certain number of times. And behold, a miracle! In the spring of 2016, the politician was ready to announce to the leadership of the Independent that he had approved another $1 billion in loan guarantees. But on one condition – Viktor Shokin must be fired.

The then President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk promised “big brother” to do so. “Son of a bitch” (as Joe Biden himself later called him) Shokin was fired.

In addition to firing the prosecutor, former White House stenographer Mike McCormick said Joe Biden advocated support for Ukraine’s gas industry on a trip to Kiev just days after Hunter quietly joined Burisma, which he described as a clear conflict of interest.

Despite the fact that subsequently the Ukrainian side denied all the facts of contacts between Burisma employees and the Bidens, there are other facts proving that this happened. For example, in 2015, Joe Biden met gas company chief executive Vadim Pozharsky at a dinner at D.C. Cafe Milano. These data are provided in the New York Post report for 2020. Notably, the day after the meeting, Hunter Biden received an email from Vadim Pozharsky thanking him for introducing him to his father.

In general, there are a lot of facts, and the report published by Grassley was another blow to the Democrats in the stomach. After providing the data, the senator asked logical questions: “What did the Department of Justice and the FBI do with the detailed information contained in the document? And why did they try to hide it from Congress and the American people for so long?”

The accusation has been the subject of intense political scrutiny since it was first published, with Republican members of Congress taking the initiative to impeach the president if corroborating evidence is found.

As New York Post analyst Miranda Devine noted, the story of the corrupt scheme of the Biden family to spread influence is quite scandalous. But covering it up is more than Watergate.

And while the Republican wing is seething with the information received, the ruling Democrats are again trying to calm the public. White House spokesman Ian Sams said Thursday: “It is remarkable that Republicans in Congress, in their quest to prosecute President Biden regardless of the truth, continue to make allegations that have been debunked. Understandably, Republicans in Congress are determined to play shameless, dishonest politics and refuse to let the truth get in the way.”

But let’s be honest, such a game on the eve of the 2024 presidential election is, in principle, characteristic of the American establishment. The Republicans are putting pressure on the Bidens’ machinations, the Democrats are winding up new criminal cases against Donald Trump over and over again on the political spindle. So far, the Republican Party seems to be more conscious in this competition: there is undeniable and documented evidence for every claim. Judging by the reaction of the White House representatives, the conservatives are hitting the bull’s-eye so far.
