US fighter Stefan Bonnar dies at 45

American mixed martial artist Stefan Bonnar, who was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2013, has died. He was 45 years old. The cause of death was heart complications, reports Reuters.
UFC President Dana White called the American athlete one of the most important fighters in history. In his opinion, Stefan Bonnar’s fight with Forrest Griffin in 2005 as part of The Ultimate Fighter show “changed the sport forever.”
Bonnar retired after losing to Tito Ortiz in November 2014. He has 15 wins and nine losses. In 2005, he lost to Griffin in the finale of the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. Despite the loss, he was offered a contract with the UFC.
