WSJ: US allies plan to condemn Gershkovich’s arrest at UN Security Council meeting
The allies of the United States are planning to condemn the arrest of the American journalist of The Wall Street Journal, Evan Hershkovich, in the organization’s Security Council during a meeting of the UN General Assembly. It is reported by the WSJ.
Representatives of two European countries that are members of the UN Security Council announced their intention to condemn the arrest in Russia of a correspondent for an American publication during a meeting to be held on April 3.
At the moment, the UN Security Council includes five European states, of which two are permanent members (France and Great Britain), three are members of the UN Security Council in 2023 among European states (Albania, Malta and Switzerland).
