Residents of the left bank of the Dnieper, living in a 15-kilometer zone near the river in the Kherson region, decided to evacuate for security purposes, said Acting Governor of the region Volodymyr Saldo. According to him, it is planned to resettle up to 70 thousand people.
“The 15-kilometer zone along the left bank of the Dnieper, starting from Kakhovka and up to Gola Pristan, we will now (take out.— “b”)… We have already begun this work,” said Mr. Saldo on the air of Soloviev Live (quote from RIA Novosti). He added that people will be evacuated deep into the Kherson region and to other regions of the Russian Federation.

Yesterday, October 31, the evacuation zone expanded in connection with a possible strike on the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. All evacuees are promised to pay 100,000 rubles each.
