In Moscow, on the night of October 31, snow will fall, which will form a cover up to 3 centimeters high. This was announced on Sunday, October 30, by the leading specialist of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets.
“On the night of Sunday to Monday, a cold atmospheric front associated with a North Atlantic cyclone centered over the Volga-Vyatka region will reach the Chernozem region, dragging cold air masses cooling down to light frosts,” RIA Novosti quotes Tishkovets.
According to the weather forecaster, “as a result of the Arctic invasion” showers in Central Russia, including in the capital, “will turn into focal charges of snow”, which for the first time in the season will sprinkle the ground in places with “a symbolic snow cover from 0.1 to 3 centimeters high.”
In addition, Tishkovets warned that at night and in the morning there would be zero or minus temperatures, which would lead to freezing of the “heavenly moisture” that had fallen the day before, and “weak icy ice 0.5-2 millimeters thick” would form on the roads in places.
On Sunday, snow had already fallen in places in Moscow, and because of the wind, trees were knocked down in some places.
