Businessman and founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin asked Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov to consider recognizing Google’s activities in the Russian Federation as undesirable. Also, Mr. Prigozhin asks to restrict access to YouTube.

“Fakes are actively spread on the site, Russophobic content is published, calls for the overthrow of power in the Russian Federation and destructive materials,” Mr. Prigozhin comments on YouTube.
“The indignation of Russians about why Roskomnadzor has not yet blocked YouTube, where they are openly humiliated and insulted, continues to grow. People are worried that all this Russophobic content can be seen by their children. Times call for tougher measures, as the fines imposed have not stopped these egregious violations,” the businessman said in a statement dated October 30.
He also proposes to consider the issue of recognizing the activities of the American company Google LLC as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation, “disseminating information aimed at creating a threat to the country’s defense capability and state security.”
This is not the first proposal to block access to YouTube video hosting in Russia. While doing this not planned.
