United Russia will update the leadership of 6 regional branches – Kommersant

Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak said in Telegramthat in the near future new leaders will head regional branches of the party in the Krasnoyarsk, Perm and Transbaikal territories, Omsk and Yaroslavl regions, as well as in Chukotka. He added that today, November 14, by decision of the Presidium of the General Council, they were appointed acting heads of regional departments.
The new leaders will be:
- Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov;
- Governor of the Perm Territory Dmitry Makhonin;
- Governor of the Omsk Region Vitaly Khotsenko;
- head of Chukotka Vladislav Kuznetsov;
- head of the Trans-Baikal Railway Vladimir Antonets;
- Minister of Regional Development of the Yaroslavl Region Evgeny Churkin.
Andrei Turchak said that by the end of November, conferences will be held in these six regions, at which the candidacies of new heads of regional departments should be approved.
On December 17, United Russia will hold a congress. Most likely, by that time the 2024 presidential elections will have already been called by the Federation Council, and the current head of state Vladimir Putin may announce his participation in them. According to Kommersant’s sources, the main topic of the congress will be the presidential campaign. Before the December forum, the party will hold special panel discussions dedicated to the meaning of the upcoming elections.
