“United Russia” nominated Sergei Tsivilev as a candidate for governor of Kuzbass

Kemerovo governor Sergei Tsivilev nominated as a candidate for the post of head of the region for a second term from United Russia (ER). The corresponding decision was made by the conference of the regional branch of the party.
Earlier, primaries were held to nominate a candidate from United Russia, at which Mr. Tsivilev’s candidacy was supported unanimously. The governor also topped the list of United Russia candidates in the election of deputies to the Kuzbass Legislative Assembly of the new convocation. They will also take place in September this year.
GAS “Elections” has not yet entered data on any of the candidates for the post of governor. Earlier, A Just Russia—Patriots—For Truth nominated the chairman of its regional branch, deputy of the Legislative Assembly, Yuri Skvortsov. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation in the region also named Yekaterina Gruntovaya, deputy of the regional parliament, and Stanislav Karpov, deputy of the Legislative Duma of the Tomsk region, as its candidate.
The previous elections for the governor of Kuzbass were held in 2018. Then Sergei Tsivilev won 81.3% of the vote. In total, six candidates competed for the post.
