Deputy Gusev urged to publish lists of officials who left Russia on June 24
The first deputy chairman of the Duma Control Committee, Dmitry Gusev, addressed the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Alexander Neradko, urging him to make public the lists of Russian officials and businessmen who flew out of the Russian Federation on June 24. So, according to the parliamentarian, it will be possible to refute the statements that during the rebellion of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the representatives of the elite allegedly “ran away”.
“We need to stop fake news about officials who fled during the rebellion,” Gusev said.
He explained that last Saturday, the media and telegram channels wrote that as the rebels approached Moscow, civil servants and entrepreneurs flew out of the capital.
According to the deputy, such information “can be disseminated by the intelligence of Western countries <...> to destroy confidence in the Russian government.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, June 26, said that during the Saturday events, the entire Russian society demonstrated exceptional consolidation and cohesion at all levels of government. Putin himself continued to work in the Kremlin on June 24 and did not leave the capital – about this declared his press office.
