FSB announced the termination of the case of rebellion against Prigozhin

The criminal case on the fact of the armed rebellion was closed. About it informs TASS with reference to the press service of the FSB of Russia.
During the investigation, the department found that the participants in the armed rebellion stopped their illegal actions on June 24. In this regard, today, June 27, the case was dismissed, the FSB explained.
On June 23, the FSB opened a criminal case against Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Wagner PMC, on the fact of organizing an armed rebellion (under Article 279 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The maximum penalty under the article is 20 years in prison.
The case was opened after Prigozhin accused the Ministry of Defense of attacking the rear camps of the company. The founder of Wagner said that the responsibility for the strike lay with the “military leadership” of the country and promised to respond to the attack. The Ministry of Defense denied the information, calling the message a provocation.
After that, Prigozhin with the fighters of the company moved from the special operation zone towards Moscow. June 24 “Wagner” took control of military facilities in Rostov-on-Don and blockaded the city. Then the PMC fighters stopped on the territory of the Lipetsk region, before reaching the capital, as Prigozhin claimed, 200 km. In Moscow, the Moscow region and the Voronezh region, a counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced, which was lifted on June 26.
