United Russia members are preparing March theses

As part of its work with voters this week, United Russia recommended its State Duma deputies to congratulate women whose husbands and sons are participating in a special military operation on March 8, recalling that “the Great Patriotic War clearly showed what Russian women are capable of.” In addition, for the first time, United Russia members were given a form for reporting on the implementation of the party program on the ground, but the parliamentarians had many questions about it.

Deputies of the State Duma from United Russia receive recommendations on topics for comments and work in the regions before each week allotted for work with voters. The current “regional week” for parliamentarians will last until March 12. The main task of the deputies for this “regional week” is to report to the people, the party explained to Kommersant.

In the materials distributed (“Kommersant got acquainted with them”), according to the tradition that has developed since the beginning of the special military operation, United Russia members are asked to meet with the families of fighters, help them solve problematic issues, and also publish speeches in social networks and regional media in support of military personnel, decisions of the president and report on United Russia representatives who have decided to participate in the special operation as volunteers.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, party members intend to congratulate mainly wives and mothers, whose husbands and sons today defend the interests of the country at the forefront, as well as women who are personally involved in solving the tasks of the special operation. The recommendations include, in particular, the following theses for festive speeches: this is “a holiday that, in connection with the desire of the countries of the “progressive West” to get away from gender in society and the family, acquires a new meaning for Russians”; “The Great Patriotic War, when virtually the entire economy of a huge country was on the shoulders of women, vividly showed what Russian women are capable of.”

In addition, United Russia expects from its deputies that they will talk at “meetings with the youth” and in social networks about the start of the preliminary voting procedure in the party, as a result of which candidates for elections of different levels are selected.

Also, United Russia members are constantly required to tell citizens about the implementation of the “people’s program” of the party and publish posts about it on social networks. But this time, the parliamentarians were also given a “deputy’s report on the implementation of the people’s program”, on the basis of which it is recommended to inform citizens about its results. In this document, for example, it is required to enter data on how many kindergartens and schools, sports and cultural facilities were built in the deputy’s region last year, what kind of assistance its subject provides to new territories, etc.

Deputies from United Russia polled by Kommersant have not yet begun to fill out this report. According to one of them, deputy assistants regularly receive text messages about what to do and what not to do: “This year, for example, they asked not to write requests to the Ministry of Defense on NMD issues, as well as to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, but all the time that You have to post on social media. “But I am guided by the powers specified in the law on the status of deputies,” the deputy emphasizes. Both he and other United Russia members note that it is strange to demand from the deputies all this data, which only the regional authorities have, for a report.

As an assistant to one of the deputies explains, such orders raise several questions at once. Firstly, should each chosen one independently search for the required data, or can this be done by one of the representatives of the same territory? Secondly, if the federal figure is already entered in the report form, then it is taken from the reports of the ministries and there is already a breakdown by region – what’s the point of collecting everything again manually? And thirdly, it is far from a fact that the deputy is involved in the figures that he needs to indicate in his report, the interlocutor adds.

The deputies, as representatives of the party, are responsible for the implementation of the program to the voters, Daria Lantratova, deputy secretary of the United Russia General Council, told Kommersant. Therefore, they are obliged to convey to the people up-to-date information about what obligations have been fulfilled, what work is being done, and also receive feedback on whether citizens are satisfied with the results of the work done, she stressed.
