A sculpture will be erected in Russia in honor of the dog Sarmat, who died in the Northern Military District.

A sculpture of the hero dog Sarmat, who died in a special operation, will appear in Russia. The German Shepherd will be immortalized thanks to the caring stars of the Russian circus.

According to trainer Askold Zapashny, the owner of the dog, Andrei Mukhin, when asking to install the sculpture, noted that Sarmat was not only a soldier, but also a symbol of the detachment. His desire is to perpetuate the memory of his friend, colleague, who saved his colleagues and him (Mukhin) personally.

It is planned that Sarmat will not be portrayed as a collective image of a German shepherd, but will have distinctive features – a tactical chest bag and a St. George’s ribbon, which the dog wore on his back.

“I found the company and didn’t put any pressure on the fact that it was a charity event. I just asked how much they could do it for. They agreed – it turned out to be about 530 thousand,” he told the TV channel REN TV Askold Zapashny.

The specified amount was collected very quickly – in one hour.
