Ulyanovsk resident who gave children a nightmare in the camp was imprisoned for two years

In Ulyanovsk, a local resident was sentenced, who, after a quarrel with a girl, decided to mock children from a children’s camp. Late at night, he pulled the guys out of bed by force, ordered them to line up and go to the toilet. Among the victims were 10-year-old boys and girls who received psychological shock.

It all happened on July 10 this year in the Volzhanka camp in the village of Undory. It is especially popular among Ulyanovsk residents, since it is considered, one might say, elite – wonderful food, excellent living conditions for children, various educational programs, and entertainment.

The camp is located on the banks of the Volga in a protected natural area, and vouchers to Volzhanka are sold out with a bang long before the start of the summer holidays and are quite expensive – not every family can afford it. If only parents knew what a nervous breakdown and other consequences for the health of children would cost a trip this summer…

As it turned out, the night before, 24-year-old Maxim Martynov (he was a native of Ulyanovsk, worked as a personnel manager) was relaxing with friends at the Chaika camp site, which is located next to the children’s camp. The company pretty much drank, the guy quarreled with his girlfriend and went for a walk. First, he sat in the barbecue area, then wandered into the parking lot, checked his car and saw a fence enclosing the camp.

“It was about three in the morning when Martynov decided to enter the camp,” Artem Andryushchenkov, assistant prosecutor of the Ulyanovsk region, told MK. – Why and for what, he still can not explain. He says he doesn’t remember anything. The man calmly climbed over the fence, went to the bath and laundry complex, but there was no one there. Then he went to the main building where the children were sleeping.

He went up to the second floor, went into the girls’ room – all of them were no more than 10 years old, where he began to swear obscene language, shake their beds. On one bed, he jumped with his feet, broke, began to raise the kids, someone just pulled by the arms and legs. The girls burst into tears, did not understand anything, but the brawler did not calm down on this. He went to the next room where the boys were sleeping.

Further, as the investigation found out, Martynov simply began to mock the guys – he hit one child who resisted with his hand in the forehead, turned another around in bed, so much so that the boy hit his foot hard, dragged the third from the second tier of the bed to the floor. The boys cried, asked for help and mercy. But the criminal forced them to line up in height and ordered them to go to wash, go to the toilet and brush their teeth. At the same time, he shouted: “Faster! Wider step! I will make real men out of you!”

At the children’s screams, educators and two camp guards ran up and tried to stop the hooligan, but Martynov hit one of the guards several times in the stomach. At this time, a third guard ran to the rescue, police officers drove up, twisted Martynov and took him to the nearest police station. The teachers and counselors, meanwhile, tried to calm the boys and somehow led them out of the washroom.

– Undoubtedly, the children received a strong shock and nervous shock, – continues the assistant prosecutor. – Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, only minor bruises on the boys and bruises. It is known that until now many of the affected children cannot forget that night, they are afraid of everything.

During the investigation, the culprit himself fully admitted his guilt, apologized and asked for forgiveness from both the children and their parents. But still can not explain his act. He says he doesn’t remember anything at all. He only remembers that he was very drunk, and came to his senses only when there were a lot of people around him and his hands were twisted.

– How did it happen? Of course, this is all a defect of the camp guards, – says the assistant prosecutor. We didn’t see it in time. The guards are already elderly, and, as it turned out, one of them saw some kind of silhouette that night, and then there was no one else, so he did not react.

It is known that Martynov has no previous convictions, is not married, lived in a quite prosperous family with relatives, and also had positive reviews at work.

The other day, the court sentenced him to two years in prison in a general regime colony, as well as the recovery of five thousand and fifty rubles from him.

“I think that this punishment is quite fair,” the prosecutor’s office commented on the verdict. – He took the verdict calmly, repented, regrets what happened and will pay moral damages to the victims.
