The Ukrainians appealed to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with a demand to urgently begin demobilization. The corresponding petition was posted on March 29 on the website of the Internet representation of the Ukrainian leader.
The document says that the demobilization should affect those military personnel who were mobilized a year and a half ago.
The petition received the required number of votes – more than 25,000, so the head of the Ukrainian state is obliged to respond to it.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken admitted that the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would begin in the coming weeks. At the same time, the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov, noted that a counter-offensive operation could be expected after the end of the thaw and Ukrainian troops were planning to launch several strikes.
