Peskov appreciated the idea to make Paris a mediator in the conflict in Ukraine

France is now unlikely to claim the role of mediator between Russia and Ukraine, said the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov. Paris is indirectly and directly involved in the conflict on the side of Ukraine, the Kremlin spokesman added.
“It is unlikely that Paris can now claim the role of some kind of mediator, because Paris actually takes the side of one of the participants in the conflict. In addition, Paris is both indirectly and directly involved in this conflict on the side of Ukraine. Therefore, it is still difficult to imagine any mediation efforts here,” Peskov said.
