The election of the mayor of Tynda was won by a self-nominee from United Russia

Sergey Gulyaev, a self-nominated member of the United Russia party, was elected mayor of Tynda (Amur Region) in the elections held on Sunday, April 9. He won 53.99% of the votes (2,821 people) with a turnout of 20.87% (5,225 citizens), Kommersant was told in the Terizbirkom.
According to the chairman of the commission, Irina Shakirova, no complaints were received either during the voting or during the counting of votes. In second place is LDPR candidate Yury Shatalov (17.93%), in third place is Igor Magarlamov, a representative of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (16.15%). The fourth was self-nominated Yuriy Novak (6.32%). At the last moment, candidate Stepan Guritsenko had to be struck off the ballots – he was nominated by the SRZP, but the election commission learned that the candidate was also a member of United Russia. Stepan Guritsenko himself denied this fact and claimed that he had left the United Russia long ago. By a court decision, he was deprived of the status of a registered candidate.
Elections in Tynda were held in connection with the early dismissal of the former mayor Marina Mikhailova. She is accused of abuse of office (part 2 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and has been in a pre-trial detention center since December 2022. Criminal case connected with unfinished renovation of Krasnaya Presnya street. According to authorities, in December 2021, Marina Mikhailova accepted and paid for materials worth more than 130 million rubles under the contract. But the work for this amount was not completed, and the material was missing.
The new mayor of Tynda, Sergei Gulyaev, is 43 years old. He began his career in the wagon depot of the Tynda station. He previously worked in the city administration. Under Mayor Mark Schulz, he headed the Committee on Youth Affairs, and from 2013 to 2018 he served as First Deputy Mayor Yevgeny Cherenkov. With the arrival of Marina Mikhailova, he left Tynda, worked in the administration of the Novosibirsk district of the Novosibirsk region, and then, until February 2023, served as the first deputy head of the administration of Noglikov (Sakhalin). Then he returned to Tynda, where from February 15 he worked as the first deputy mayor.
