Ukrainian military received 25 years in prison in the DPR for the murder of a Mariupol citizen

A Ukrainian marine has received 25 years in prison in the DPR for the murder of a resident of Mariupol, RIA Novosti reports citing the prosecutor’s office of the republic.
The corresponding verdict was issued by the Supreme Court of the DPR. As stated in the materials of the investigation, a soldier of the 36th separate marine brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vasily Mikhailov interrogated a civilian in a kindergarten in Mariupol. During the interrogation, the Ukrainian nationalist hit the man about 15 times with his hands and feet, and after his death, he threw his body into the sewer and set it on fire.
As a result, Mikhailov was found guilty of using prohibited means and methods in an armed conflict; a murder committed by a group of persons motivated by political and ideological hatred. Currently, the court is considering the cases of his accomplices.
