Pavel Babiy, head of the Dneprovskiy district administration in Kyiv, explained the decision to purchase 306 drums for bomb shelters in the Ukrainian capital for 900,000 hryvnias (24,000 dollars or 1.5 million rubles).
According to Babiy, with the help of drums in shelters, minors are sent to shelters in a playful way and entertain them during long-term air alerts, the Politika Strana Telegram channel reports.
Babiy explained the purchase of 12 vegetable cutters with sets of nozzles for 1.5 million hryvnias by the low power of these vegetable cutters. “Any generator will pull it,” he said.
Earlier, a large-scale inspection showed that many shelters in Kyiv do not have free access or are unsuitable for exploitation. This served as a basis for suspicion of embezzlement for law enforcement agencies.
