Ukrainian armed forces are deliberately attacking employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the DPR, fire department commander Evgeniy Grebenyuk said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He noted that the vehicles of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are quite noticeable because of their color, although they are trying to disguise them. According to him, when EMERCOM vehicles are discovered, Ukrainian nationalists immediately strike at them.
Grebenyuk also spoke about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on a fire crew, when a Ukrainian drone dropped ammunition directly on a fire truck.
“It’s fortunate that it exploded on the roof on the other side, the guys weren’t hurt, everyone reacted,” Grebenyuk said.
According to the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations, since the start of the special military operation, 23 rescuers have died in the line of duty, and another 111 people have been injured.
