On Friday, Ukraine officially banned its athletes from playing in the same tournaments as the Russians. On Saturday, it already imposed sanctions against more than 80 Russian athletes and representatives of sports organizations.
The sanctions list includes both active athletes and famous champions of past years. There are many figure skaters among active athletes. These are Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Mark Kondratyuk, Alena Kostornaya, Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky, Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin, Nikita Katsalapov, Dmitry Aliev, Alexander Samarin, Vladimir Morozov, Evgeny Semenenko, Alexander Gallyamov.

The bans on everything on the territory of Ukraine concern the President of the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Russia Vyacheslav Aminov, Ksenia Shoigu, who heads the Triathlon Federation of the Russian Federation, the President of the Russian Skating Union Nikolay Gulyaev, the Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus Sergei Kovalchuk.
Each of the list will be denied visas. If there are state awards of Ukraine, they will be withdrawn. A ban is introduced on any activity on the territory of Ukraine, to acquire real estate. All contacts in Ukraine should be cut off with those on the lists. The duration of the sanctions is virtually indefinite, and they will generally remain in effect until 2073.
