The UFC has officially announced the fight between two champions of the promotion – Dagestani Islam Makhachev and Australian Alexander Volkanovski.
UFC Lightweight Champion Makhachev vs Featherweight Champion Volkanovski will be the main event of UFC 284 on February 12, 2023 in Perth, Australia.
For Makhachev, this will be the first defense of the title, which he won on the night of October 23, defeating the Brazilian Charles Oliveira. Volkanovski is trying his hand at a new weight category for himself, so his belt will not be played out in this fight.
