Tyumen residents complained to the mayor’s office about advertising a sex shop with Tolstoy in a minibus

The Tyumen mayor’s office was forced to carry out educational work with one of the city’s private passenger transport operators because of a complaint received by officials from offended passengers. They said that they were unpleasantly surprised to see an advertisement for a “shop for adults” in the minibus, the face of which was made by the writer Leo Tolstoy.
As follows from the photos of the leaflet that circulated on social networks, the creatives of the sex shop were inspired by an old meme with Tolstoy, which obscenely ridicules a person’s desire to seem more significant than they are.
“In words we are Leo Tolstoy, and in reality we also have something to show …” – read the advertising slogan.
Tyumen moralists on the social network came to the conclusion that “this is unethical, it corrupts children,” and complained to the mayor’s office. The city authorities, at the request of journalists, confirmed that they had received such an appeal from citizens, while noting that a private carrier has the right to advertise in the cabin of its vehicles. At the same time, officials responded to complaints from passengers.
“Specialists of the department (road infrastructure and transport) sent a claim to the head of this enterprise, naturally, this advertisement is being removed,” – reported I’ll get up at City Hall.
