Yana Egoryan became the champion of Russia in fencing for the third time
Two-time Olympic champion Yana Yegoryan represented the Moscow region at the Russian saber fencing championship. The athlete became the champion of Russia for the third time. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the region.
In the final, Yana Yegoryan met Anna Mikhailova, two-time winner of the junior championship in individual and team competitions. Yana Yegoryan won the fight with a score of 15:12. Bronze medalists were two-time Olympic champion Sofia Pozdnyakova and Olympic champion Olga Nikitina.
The Russian fencing championship was held in Vladikavkaz. The best athletes of the country, champions and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships, international and Russian tournaments take part in it. A total of 542 athletes came to the competition. The Moscow region is represented by 75 people. The championship will end on April 25th.
