Residents of the village of Zyryanka and the village of Novaya Zavorina in the Kurgan region are evacuated due to a landscape fire. The fiery front is 3.5 km, reports press office EMERCOM of Russia in Telegram.
“The evacuation of the population is being carried out as a preventive measure. An additional plowing of settlements and a build-up of forces and means are being carried out. Il-76 and Be-200 aircraft of the Emergency Ministry of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and a fire train were sent to the place of the fire. 165 people and 36 pieces of equipment are fighting the fire,” the ministry said in a statement.
Large-scale natural fires in abnormally hot and windy weather began in the Kurgan region last week. On May 7, a state of emergency was introduced in the region. Residents of several settlements were evacuated. The investigative department of the TFR in the region reported three dead, the media – about 21. On May 12, the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Kurgan region reported that there was one forest fire left in the region.
