Defender of the Voronezh FC Fakel Vasily Cherov and striker Matvey Ivakhnov were tested for doping. This was reported on Wednesday, July 19, by the TASS news agency, citing the Russian anti-doping agency.
In addition to the Voronezh players, RUSADA managed to test the players of the St. Petersburg “Zenith” Alexei Sutormin and Daniil Krugovoy this summer. Recall that the match between Fakel and Zenit in the final round of the RPL was held in St. Petersburg on June 3 (the game ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the home team).
The results of the tests by the Russian anti-doping agency have not yet been published. It is known that in May 15 RPL players were tested for doping.
