Estonian authorities plan to demolish two Soviet monuments in Narva. This is written by the publication “Northern Coast” with reference to the State Chancellery of Estonia.
The Chancellery expects that the city authorities will demolish two monuments: a memorial plaque in honor of the inhabitants of the Narovye who died in 1941-1945, as well as a grave monument in the Dark Garden, erected in honor of the Red Army soldiers who fell in the battles for Narva in 1918.
The Estonian authorities have stated that they are ready to dismantle the memorials at any time and that they will wait until January 15 for approval of the works by the Narva administration. It is known that the city meeting will discuss the initiative of the State Chancellery at the end of next week.
Recall that the T-34 memorial tank and six monuments of the Great Patriotic War have already been demolished in Narva.
