Igor Kastyukevich, deputy head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, and Viktor Bondarev, head of the Federation Council committee on defense and security, want to go to the zone of the military operation in Ukraine. Mr. Kastyukevich is 45 years old, he graduated from a military university and “immediately after that he served in the RF Armed Forces for four years,” said Mr. Turchak. According to him, the last seven months, the deputy led the humanitarian mission of “United Russia” in the Kherson region of Ukraine.

Mr. Bondarev is 62 years old. He was Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Force (2012–2015) and the Russian Aerospace Forces (2015–2017). He also “passed through both Chechen campaigns”, “led our aviation during the operation in Syria,” Andrey Turchak specified.
