Swedish delegation to visit Turkey for NATO talks

A delegation of the Ministry of Justice of Sweden will visit Turkey on October 5-6. The parties will negotiate the extradition from Sweden of persons whom Turkey accuses of terrorism. This was announced by Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag.

Recall that extradition is one of Turkey's conditions for Sweden and Finland to join NATO.

“Negotiations on extradition from Sweden and Finland are ongoing. We expect Sweden and Finland to extradite FETÖ and PKK members to Turkey as part of the memorandum on NATO membership,” Bozdag told reporters.

FETÖ and PKK are banned organizations in Turkey.

Bozdag also added that the Turkish delegation will go to Finland for negotiations on a similar topic.
