The court issued a warrant for their arrest

Two high-ranking police officers from Siberia were detained in Moscow. Both are suspected of murder.

As MK learned, we are talking about former officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Omsk Region, Alexander Karasev and Rafael Karagezyan. Both have been working in law enforcement for decades and have risen to the rank of colonel. At different times, Karasev and Karagyozyan were heads of the department for combating economic crimes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Omsk Region – Karagyozyan replaced Karasev in this post, who transferred to Moscow. Later, Karagezyan also held the post of head of one of the police departments in Tomsk, and served at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Not long ago, he published an article “Selected problems of the participation of the police contingent in activities to maintain or restore international peace and security.”

Today, the Basmanny Court received a petition for the arrest of both police officers. They were charged under Article 105 Part 1 of the Criminal Code – murder. The case is being processed by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. It has not yet been clarified when and where the crime was committed, in which high-ranking law enforcement officers are suspected. Perhaps we are talking about the events of those times when both served in the Omsk region.
