Ekaterina Kochergina, director of the Avtonet center, told TASS on the sidelines of the IX Technoprom International Forum that two regions of the Russian Federation would test a domestic system that determines the vibration of a car approaching a pedestrian, a road obstacle and other vehicles.
“This year, as part of the Avtodata platform project, the Avtonet infrastructure center will launch two V2X pilots in the regions: in Perm and St. Petersburg. Domestic equipment will be used in these pilots,” Kochergina said.
The V2X (vehicle-to-everything) system detects the vibration impact from pedestrians, road obstacles, open hatches and other vehicles, and then transmits this data to the vehicle’s on-board computer.
The IX International Forum “Technoprom”, dedicated to the promotion of domestic scientific developments and innovations, is being held in Novosibirsk from 23 to 26 August. Among the topics on which reports will be presented are nuclear technologies, energy, medicine, biological, agricultural and information security.
