Two men from Western Australia have been charged with several 3D-printed handguns. This is reported by the TV channel 9News.
During one of the raids, police found four 3D-printed handguns, electronic devices with circuits, and weapon parts.
The 59-year-old and 38-year-old man were charged with six crimes, including making and selling weapons.
According to Deputy Commissioner Kylie Whiteley, the weapons found fire live ammunition and pose a danger.
The channel notes that in June last year, an 18-year-old youth was arrested and charged with a similar series of crimes, including making a working semi-automatic rifle.
3D printing expert Elliot Theunissen, owner of E-Jet 3D Printing, said many production drawings are available online.
