Modern campuses, Digital Valley and streets with electric cars: preliminary solutions of the finalists of the competition for the development of a master plan for Grozny are presented

Today, a presentation of preliminary integrated design solutions for the improvement of Grozny took place as part of an open international competition for the development of a master plan for the city, which will be implemented with the participation of DOM.RF. Three finalist consortiums presented their proposals. The presentation on the eve of the final took place at DOM.RF with the participation of Grozny Mayor Khas-Magomed Kadyrov and Deputy General Director of DOM.RF Denis Filippov.
“By joint efforts, we will soon build a new modern Grozny, along the green streets of which electric cars will move, which will have its own Digital Valley, modern campuses, and where people from other regions of Russia and countries that share ours will want to come to live, study and work. values,” Khas-Magomed Kadyrov noted.
The finalists of the competition – consortiums led by Artemy Lebedev Studio and Master’s Plan, the City of Generations consortium – proposed comprehensive design solutions for the improvement of Grozny.
“The participants conducted extensive analytical studies, which formed the basis of new directions for the spatial and territorial development of the capital of Chechnya. Today we saw interesting and promising solutions for the formation of a new high-quality urban environment in Grozny, taking into account modern urban trends and at the same time the national identity of the Republic. We are looking forward to the final of the competition and the joint implementation of the master plan for Grozny,” said Denis Filippov.
The expert jury evaluated the projects, pointing out places that could be improved. Particular attention in the preparation of master plans was paid to the issue of transport and engineering infrastructure and the functional content of public spaces.
In early October, ready-made bids will be considered at a meeting of the expert council, where the winner of the competition will be selected.
