Turkmenistan Airlines suspends flights to Moscow from August 1
Starting from Tuesday, August 1, Turkmenistan Airlines suspends flights from Ashgabat to Moscow. This was reported on the company’s website. They explained that this was due “to the air situation in the Moscow air zone.”
“In order to ensure flight safety, starting from August 1, 2023, all flights of Turkmenistan Airlines operating flights in the direction of Ashgabat – Moscow – Ashgabat will be suspended,” the message says.
The airline noted that the flights will be operated on the Ashgabat-Kazan route and in the opposite direction.
On the morning of August 1, Ukraine tried to attack Moscow and the Moscow region with drones. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, two drones were shot down in the sky over the Moscow region, the third was suppressed by electronic warfare.
