NATO is going to accept the states of the Balkans and Transcaucasia into its ranks, Yucel Ozdemir, a columnist for the Turkish newspaper Evrensel, said.
The expert noted that the alliance has actually made Ukraine dependent on itself, and Finland and Sweden are also preparing to join it.
“The further process will mainly go at an accelerated pace towards taking control of the countries of Europe and the Caucasus, which are in close contact with Russia,” he is sure.
The author pointed out that NATO and the EU are actively holding summits and inviting representatives of Moldova, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other countries that are not members of the alliance. This indicates plans to accept them into its composition, Ozdemir believes.
He also believes that the desire to limit the influence of Russia and China in Europe will lead to increased tension.
