Ankara is making efforts to extend the grain deal and, in particular, takes into account the requirements of Russia. About it informed TASS Turkish diplomatic source.
“Negotiations on the extension of the grain deal have not been completed yet, they are still ongoing. Turkey is making serious efforts so that the agreement on the Black Sea initiative is extended, and the demands of all parties, including Russia, are taken into account,” the source said.
March 2 Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia reported about Western sabotage of the grain deal. The Foreign Ministry spoke about 262,000 tons of fertilizer that Russia planned to send to the poorest countries, but they were blocked in the ports of Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and the Netherlands.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the same day, speaking at a meeting of the “Big Twenty” (G20), said that it was time to stop “playing the food card.”
“The export of Russian agricultural products is blatantly hindered all over the world, no matter how the representatives of the EU convince everyone of the opposite, who are used to telling lies,” the minister said at the time.
