The Kremlin website reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin, in honor of March 8, presented state awards to outstanding Russian women in the Kremlin.
In particular, the head of state awarded the Minister of Education and Science of the Zaporozhye region Elena Shapurova.
The award from the hands of the president was received by the chief physician of the Luhansk Children’s Clinical Hospital, Lyudmila Beletskaya.
As noted in the press service of the Kremlin, the head of the museum-estate of Leo Tolstoy in Yasnaya Polyana Galina Alekseeva, the head of the military unit in the Western Military District Tatyana Chubchenko, and military nurse Christina Kim were awarded.
The Order of Courage was awarded to Vlada Lugovskaya, a 16-year-old correspondent of the Kherson TRK “Tavaria”, who was injured and then escaped from the hospital.
In total, 20 Russian women attended the awards ceremony.
