Turkey cancels some rules for hotels and tourists, but introduces others
The restrictions imposed on Turkish hotels during the pandemic are no longer relevant. The country has canceled the “covid safety” program, but a new certificate has been introduced (the rules have not yet been specified).
Bodrum Hoteliers Association President Omer Farouk Dengiz has announced the abolition of the Safe Tourism Certification.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, masks, sanitizers and other safety equipment were mandatory in hotels. In restaurants, the so-called buffet system was banned, while the rules on the distances between tables were strictly observed.
Thus, the old restrictive rules no longer apply. According to Dengiz, the Sustainable Tourism program will be implemented by 2030. However, he did not specify what requirements hotels and guests coming to rest would have to fulfill.
