Tula Arena hosts the Russian Judo Championship

Several hundred high-class judokas take part in Tula in the fight for awards at the national judo championship among juniors and junior women under the age of twenty-one.
The representative competition was hosted by the Tula Arena MSC.
On Thursday, November twenty-fifth, at the ceremonial start of the competition, the welcoming words of the head of the Tula region were conveyed to participants from seventy federal subjects, the coaching community and wrestling fans by Deputy Governor Sergei Egorov.
Alexey Dyumin considers this sport to help develop both the strength of athletes and the best qualities of an athlete’s character.
“I am sure that the competition will become a bright celebration of sports, strength and courage for everyone. And the participants will demonstrate excellent physical and technical skills, fair and uncompromising fight,” Egorov emphasized.
In total, almost six hundred of the country’s best judokas will fight for the awards of the Russian championship on the Tula tatami.
The tournament ends on Sunday, November twenty-sixth. from 70 regions of our country.
Winners and runners-up will be determined on November 26th.
As the press service of the Tula Region Government reported, such competitions directly lead to an increase in the interest of compatriots in active sports activities. And this is a significant contribution to achieving the goals of the “Sport is the norm of life” project, implemented within the framework of the priority national project “Demography”. The development of sports and the construction of specialized infrastructure in the region is personally supervised by Alexey Dyumin.
“MK in Tula” wrote: our fellow countrywoman won “bronze” at the World Cup in hand-to-hand combat among men and women held in Minsk. The Tula athlete became third in the weight category up to fifty-eight kilograms. Alexandra Shubina is a member of the national army hand-to-hand combat team. The Tula team was prepared for a successful performance in the capital of Belarus by sports mentors Dmitry Dagaev and Ilya Gerasimenko.
