Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin’s visit to Kaliningrad is a planned work, and not a “message” to NATO countries. The head of state today, January 25, will visit Kaliningrad region to meet with Governor Anton Alikhanov and communicate with students of the Emmanuel Kant Baltic Federal University.

“When the president visits the regions of the Russian Federation, this is absolutely not a “message” to NATO countries. This is the main thing the president does. This is what he has been doing for many years: working on the development of our country, our regions,” Dmitry Peskov commented on the president’s plans (quoted by TASS).

Vladimir Putin’s visit to the Baltic Federal University is timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Students (Tatyana’s Day), which is celebrated in Russia on January 25.
