President of the Russian Hockey Federation (RFH) Vladislav Tretyak shared a conversation with head of state Vladimir Putin when the former hockey player took office. He spoke about this at the premiere of the documentary series “Russian Hockey. The Power Within.”

“We talked for an hour and a half about hockey, and you know what he told me: “Vladislav Alexandrovich, I need victories – I need to unite the Russians!” said Tretyak.

Tretyak is a three-time Olympic champion and ten-time world champion while playing for the USSR national team. He has held the post of head of the FHR since April 2006.
