Transbaikal athletes Sofya Mikhailova and Sofya Goncharuk are twice winners of interregional biathlon competitions for the prizes of two-time Olympic champion Evgeniy Ustyugov – the competitions were held on December 23-24 in Krasnoyarsk. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports.
“Based on the results of competitions in the sprint and mass start races, the girls won gold twice: Sofya Goncharuk in the 13-14 year old category, and Sofya Mikhailova in the 15-16 year old category,” the press service explained.
In addition, more than 400 biathletes from eight regions of Russia took part in the competition.
