Trans-class figure skater // Canadian Lia Pereira will compete in both singles and doubles
[ad_1]
An extremely curious event happened in figure skating. Leah Pereira, one of the strongest figure skaters in Canada today and a participant in the junior world championship, showed up for the autumn Skate Ontario tournament in two categories at once – singles and doubles. In the couples competition, she will compete with a fairly titled athlete – winner of the Four Continents Championship and national championships Trennte Michaud. Pereira’s case can be classified as exceptional: in the entire history of the sport, only a few managed to combine performances in two genres at once – for example, multiple USSR champion Tamara Moskvina and 1992 Olympic champion Christy Yamaguchi.
