The Commission of the Russian Football Union recognized the penalty against the Voronezh “Fakel” in the match with “Pari NN” erroneous

On Wednesday, September 7, the press service of the Russian Football Union reported that the referee erroneously appointed a 11-meter kick to the Fakel goal in the 62nd minute of the match with Pari NN Nizhny Novgorod. Fakel not only failed to win, but even kept a draw with Pari NN in the match in Nizhny Novgorod. Now the winning streak of the Voronezh team in the RPL has already reached 8 matches.
The RFU Refereeing Department asked the Russian Football Union Commission to evaluate the work of the referee Yevgeny Kukulyak at the Fakel match with Pari NN. The commission came to the conclusion that the contact of the ball with Andrey Mendel’s hand in his own penalty area should have been unpunished, since at that moment the defender’s hand did not increase the area of the body and was at rest in a natural position.
The commission’s experts noted that the defender’s actions were reflexive and unintentional, since the player did not see the ball and could not avoid contact with it.
On the eve it became known that the coach of the Voronezh “Fakel” Oleg Vasilenko resigned from his post five days before the home game against Lokomotiv Moscow. There are versions that Sergei Yuran, who until recently headed the Yaroslavl Shinnik, Kaliningrad Baltika and Sibir from Novosibirsk, will take his place.
