Traktor won in overtime for the first time this season

Traktor played the fourth and last match with Lada this season. Like the previous ones, the meeting turned out to be tough, violent and not particularly spectacular. In a difficult match, Traktor snatched a 1:0 victory in overtime and broke a three-game losing streak. Canadian Zach Fucale scored the first goal in the KHL, and Semyon Der-Arguchintsev scored the winning goal, which became his fifth of the season.
The composition of the “black and whites” has hardly changed compared to the match against Spartak. Only Artem Shvarev moved from the position of the 13th striker to the center of the third line. Once again, the main defender Robert Hamilton was not included in the application, and there is no information about any injury to the foreign player. Also, Nikita Tertyshny, as usual, was not included in the lineup. The place in goal was once again entrusted to Zach Fucala.
The first period passed with virtually no dangerous moments, but with an abundance of power struggles, in which Lada looked better. The second 20 minutes did not bring significant changes to the nature of the meeting. Of the significant events, we note only the five-minute majority of Lada after the removal of Sergei Telegin.
In the third period, Traktor looked a little sharper, but failed to score. The match went into overtime, where the individual skill of the Chelyabinsk team finally played out. Semyon Der-Arguchintsev robbed the Togliatti defender and beat goalkeeper Vladislav Podyapolsky.
1:0 – a minimal victory in overtime, which leaves questions about the quality of Traktor’s hockey open. Although Anvar Gatiyatulin’s team scored two points, they again looked completely predictable and unsophisticated for the opponent. The Chelyabinsk team will complete their four-match tour on September 27 in Ufa with a match against Salavat Yulaev. This match could be decisive for the fate of the team and its coach this season.
