Traktor failed to beat Dynamo in the anniversary match

Traktor continued its home series after a short break. The match with its principal rival, Dynamo Moscow, turned out to be Traktor’s thousandth in the KHL. Of course, the club took this anniversary very seriously and prepared a “bring back my 2008” style show for the fans.
A significant change occurred in the composition of the Chelyabinsk residents. Zach Fucale flew to America to prepare for the birth of a child with his wife. The Canadian is due to return in mid-December. This gave the opportunity to make his debut in the KHL for 21-year-old Vyacheslav Buteets, who performed well in the VHL. In defense, Ilya Nikolaev appeared instead of Alexander Kirpichnikov, and in the fourth offensive line, Egor Popov replaced Artem Shvarev.
In the middle of the first period, the Muscovites took advantage of the removal of Madison Baoui and opened the scoring through the efforts of Cedric Paquette. In the final twenty minutes, after a mutual sending off due to a small skirmish near the Traktor goal, Dynamo managed to increase the score to 4:2. At the end of the match, Alexei Zavarukhin decided to remove the goalkeeper, but this did not help the Chelyabinsk team avoid defeat. With the final score 4:2 in favor of Dynamo, Traktor loses the anniversary match.
