Russian Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev said that trains will run on the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed railway every 10-15 minutes.
“Trains on the high-speed railway will run at a frequency of 10-15 minutes,” Savelyev emphasized.
He clarified that the travel time between Moscow and St. Petersburg by high-speed railway will be 2 hours 15 minutes, from Moscow to the city of Tver it will be possible to travel in 39 minutes, and from St. Petersburg to Veliky Novgorod in 29 minutes.
According to him, the pilot project for the construction of high-speed rail will be implemented on the principle of public-private partnership. The basis will be a concession agreement. At the moment, a company has already been created that wants to become a shareholder of the concessionaire.
