The guys got the skills to drive a truck on simulators, mastered the basics of first aid, studied the basics of robotics, learned to control unmanned aerial vehicles, actively went in for sports and drill training.

Also, an extensive cultural program was prepared for schoolchildren – quests, quizzes, a meeting with representatives of the Russian Knights aviation squadron, conversations with psychologists. As a result of the training camp, all the guys received a certificate of military training at the Avangard center.

According to the Avangard center, up to 900 high school students from Moscow and the Moscow region usually come to the five-day training camp. Each student is given a set of uniforms designed specifically for Avangard: trousers, a T-shirt, a belt, a hoodie, a jacket, a duffel bag and a hat – a cap in summer, a knitted hat in winter. T-shirt, belt, hat and hoodie guys can take home as a keepsake. By the way, smartphones and other gadgets are prohibited on the territory of the center, you can only use push-button phones.

During the training camp, cadets undergo a practical course of initial military training, they are introduced to combat techniques, modern weapons, they are taught to put on a gas mask, and observe army discipline. The material base of the center allows schoolchildren to virtually take part in combined arms combat, drive trucks and even feel on the simulator what it is like to parachute jump from a Mi-8 helicopter onto a moving truck.

In the pneumatic shooting range, cadets learn in practice the basics of safe handling of weapons, the order of aiming and the procedure for handling the trigger when shooting. When hitting the target, the result is displayed on the screen with a green cross, the cadet and teacher see the number of points scored on the scoreboard. In addition, practical classes are held here to study the device of the legendary AK-74 assault rifle.
